Note:  The chart illustrates the rise to power and the decline of each empire. The apex of each indicates the height of power. As decline comes, another power, which has been rising, crosses the declining power (in battle) and proceeds to supreme power, as the defeated nation sinks to obscurity. The prophets are arranged to show the relative strength of a power at the time they began their prophetic ministry.
