"He Did It For Us"
Part 2
By Joan A Deering
After God created our world sin came into it in the Garden of Eden through
Adam and Eve as a result of believing Satan[i]
rather than God[ii].
The verses below tell of how God gave humanity a way
to salvation through faith in the gift of His Son, Jesus. So, now we can be
redeemed, bought back from the penalty and guilt of sin, as a result of
Jesus dying for us on the cross. Anyone who believes in Him, and what He did
by paying for all sin… past, present and future… will be His child forever!
This means that Jesus’ death on the cross is the way we can have eternal
life through God’s grace. Why
would He do this? Because He loves us!
Wow!
Romans 3:23-24
23 For all have
sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified as a gift by
His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.
John 3:16-17
16 For
God so
loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son, that
whoever
believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world,
but that
the world might be saved through Him.
Romans 5:6-9
6 For while we were
still helpless,
at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good
man someone would dare even to die. 8 But
God
demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us. 9 Much more then,
having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of
God through Him.
