Let Us Show Gratitude - Hebrews 12:1-29

Hebrews Chapter 12:28-29
"Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire."

I. Let Us Run With Endurance (12:1-13)
  A. Since we have so great a cloud of witnesses (12:1)
  B. Fixing our Eyes on Jesus (12:2-3)
  C. The meaning of discipline (12:4-13)
II. Pursue Peace and Sanctification (12:14-17)
  A. Pursue Peace and Sanctification to see the Lord and See to it that:...
    no one comes short
    that no root of bitterness
    that you don't reject (Esau's tears)
III. Showing Gratitude, the acceptable sacrifice (12:18-29)
  A. What you have not come to (condemning fear)
    1. A touchable mountain
    2. A blazing fire
    3. Darkness, gloom, and a whirlwind
    4. A trumpet blast / unbearable words
  B. What you have come to (Jesus the Christ) 12:24  
    1. Mt. Zion
    2. The City of the Living God
    3. The Heavenly Jerusalem
    4. To myriad's of angels
    5. The general assembly
    6. The Church of the First born
    7. God, the Judge of all
    8. The spirits of righteous men made perfect
    9. and to Jesus, the mediator of the new Covenant
    10. The Sprinkled Blood
  C. So see to it that: You do not refuse Him (12:25-29)
